Story Summer Camp
Story Summer Camp is designed to excite the inner writer in children of all ages. Focusing on experiential writing with local parks as our venue, we immerse ourselves in the fascinating world around us as we read together, learn together, and write together.
Each session lasts two weeks, and we meet for an hour and a half each weekday. During each class, we explore a new element of storytelling, compiling a portfolio of foundational principles and an accompanying writing exercise. |

About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Tidwell is an essayist, currently teaching writing courses at Brigham Young University. She has held a variety of jobs, but the employment she has spent the most time in is definitely childcare: as the seventh child in a family of ten kids, she grew up babysitting siblings and eventually nieces and nephews (she currently has 25!), which then turned into babysitting for neighbors and family friends at 11 years old. She furthered this experience by working as a nanny on the West Coast and then spent a summer on the East Coast as a live-in nanny as well.
Driven by her passion for writing and teaching, paired with her experience with kids, Elizabeth formed Story Summer Camp for elementary-age children in Provo, Utah.
